Design and build work began at Strathallan in Timaru in 2011. With regular villa refurbishments, the design work is ongoing. A single design vision and goal ensures that when the village is complete, the landscaping is cohesive and consistent.
The newly designed Dementia garden has won an award from the New Zealand Aged Care Association National Awards highest level of audit. This was on the back of reduced challenging behaviour of residents.
We are thrilled that the design has managed to make a positive difference towards the functioning of the village.
